Sightings

On the Sightings page you will see a map of Ireland. Zoom in and out as normal to find a place of interest to you. Click on the area you would like to see what species have been sighited there. In the popup that shows, click to see the Sightings.

Species Markers

Once the Sightings for the selected area are displayed, click on the different markers to get more details for each one.

Do zoom in and out as some sightings are very close, so you have to zoom in to see them all!

You can also click on the icons at the top to limit the search to specific types of species (such as only Butterflies or only plants)

You can even see the list of different datasets that are visible in the selected area and if you wish you can select one to look sightings for any one dataset. With a dataset selected, you can click on the title and view the detail for the survey.

Just For Fun

This is a hobby project, so not run for profit. There is no advertising on this site and you are free to visit and use as you wish. Though we may track how people use this site, we do not track users indivudually. I welcome any and all feedback and comments via the Contact page (though note as this is a hobby site some features may never be made available due to cost).
